Emily Gartner Designs
Emily Gartner falls back on early experiences of working in New York City’s garment district as a fashion merchandiser. After moving back to Evansville a few years ago, she started designing her own textiles to showcase local historic architecture and cultural neighborhoods. Her original photographs and graphics are executed into wearable art clothing and accessories. She also partners with local abstract artist Keith Boyd.
Her designs are limited and one-of-a-kind pieces. Gartner’s signature style is based on color, pattern, quality of workmanship and eco friendly methods. Gartner’s work is shown and collected both nationally and internationally and she sells her designs to a variety of museum shops throughout the U.S. Her Indiana Landmark’s “Pop Art Preservation” dress is held in the public collection at USI’s McCutchan/Pace Gallery.
